How many parks do we have in this city??

I have an in-depth fascination with the New York City Public Parks!!  I know there are a lot of them, but my mission has been to visit as many of them as possible!! I have made my own baby check list.....

Here I am at the Highline Park with Daddy.  I loved the spectacular views...
And in Union Square Park right near our house. Check!

And down the road in Stuyvesant Square. Check

Listening to music in Washington Square Park while daddy tells me the football scores

I liked it so much I came back the next day with mommy!
Enjoying the autumn foliage in Central Park

A quick nap by the boat house....
Did a quick lap around the reservoir
I've also been to Tompkin's Square and Madison Square Parks (No photos available, you'll have to take my word for it)  Check, check.  Still a lot to see, looking forward to it...

My Birthday Celebrations - One Month and Two Months

Over the last few months, I have celebrated my one and two month birthdays with mom and dad.  I thought I would share the highlights with everyone......

October 18th:

In order to look my best for the party, I decided to grab a quick bath.

After the bath, there was still enough time for a quick story from dad....
Then, the party got started!! (In all the excitement, I needed a quick burp.)
Mom and dad helped me blow out the candles.  I had a great time!

November 18th:
My mom and I wanted to go out to celebrate my 2nd month birthday in style!

Getting ready to go out.....
Much to my surprise, we went to "Books of Wonder", a  children's bookstore on 18th street.
Heard a few stories and then got ready to blow out the candles.  This month I didn't need mom or dad's help! Dad couldn't believe that I did it on my own.
Mom and me celebrate my big day.  I decided to pass on the cupcake and hold out for breast milk....
I am already looking forward to next month!!

My Idiosyncracies

#1  My Hair Patch

As I enjoy Tummy Time, note my patch of long dark-colored hair on the right side of my head.   This mysterious group of coalescent hairs has become one of my trademarks!
#2 My Unusual Love of Vitamin D Drops

just to recap!

The sadness before...
Can be relieved with yummy Vitamin D drops!! Note that I am careful not to waste even a single drop!

#3 "The Bag" (sling)
My first six weeks has been plagued by major difficulties falling and staying asleep!  Thank goodness for my sling or "the bag" as daddy calls it.  Mommy and daddy let me rest in it both at home and when I'm out.  I love my bag!!!!!

Niam's Halloween Weekend

My first 40 days is now officially over!!  I am finally strong enough to leave the safety of my home to venture outside a bit more.  I had a busy weekend...

First, I went to my cousin Olivia's first B-day party!!  I had a great time hanging with my family and celebrating Olivia's big day.  I decided to come as a "pumpkin" as a prelude to Halloween.

I gave Olivia a big hug in honor of her first birthday!
Then, I went for a walk around my neighborhood in my bunny jacket (the same jacket that Alec and Olivia had used when they first came home from the hospital)

Hanging out in my bunny jacket..
Mommy and me enjoy NYC!
Later on, I transformed into a pumpkin for Halloween....

Here I am disguised as a pumpkin!
Ishaan, Vinay, and I prepare for trick-or-treating.  Frodo is looking particularly menacing in his mummy costume.
In Chelsea Market, I found out that that I am only pretending to be a pumpkin!
Daddy protected me in the haunted house!
Danger lurked in every corner.  I maintained my composure!
Finally, after a long weekend,  I relax after a nice hot bath.
