No elevator please!! Stairs, stairs, stairs!!!
Our building's elevator was shut down for repairs for three full days. This created pain and anguish for a lot of families (especially those with kids) who complained bitterly to our super and to building management. Me, I loved it!!!!! Going up! Going down! Running amuck! What fun!
Of course, after three days, the elevator was repaired. But I wouldn't know. When I leave my apartment, I head directly to the door leading to the stairs and start banging away. When I enter my building, I head straight past the elevator and turn right toward the staircase. Don't even mention the elevator or I will get upset and tears will certainly flow. At least, I make sure mommy and daddy get in their daily exercise!!

Happy Diwali
It was Diwali last Wednesday and I celebrated in style...I donned my shiny kurta and even let mama leave the chunri on for few seconds for a quick photo-op
Then we went to the Indian strip to check out the lights and get some Indian deserts
So colorful!....I will take one of everything please! When daddy told me what they were made of, I ran for the hills...
This is how you say Happy Diwali in Hindi! I especially liked the flowers...
We also went to a Mandir and I donned a scarf to cover my head. Mommy thought I looked very cute (so embarassing!!)
Mandir was a treat for free bird like me. I rang the bell and then ran amuck. Even the pandiji was laughing at my antics!!!
I wanted to buy some gold jewelry, but in hindsight, I am glad my parents stopped me!
All in all, it was a fun day..lots of new yummy food to taste and lights to look at...happy Diwali everyone...!
My Playdate...
I have been hanging out with this girl in the neighbourhood..Olivia. She is little bit older then me but we can hang! I like her hair...I showed her all my trucks and my toys inclding my drums which she wanted to play alone with...I didnt like that! BUt its okay I get to play with that drum everyday..
All in all it was a succesful two playdates... she definiltly likes and i like her too...we will see how it goes...

I love rock???
Mommy is not sure if I was happy in the park because of the music or just one of my moods. Daddy thinks I share his musical tastes. So mommy has been playing some oldie daddy favorites to see how I respond....

In preparation for Halloween
It's not a costume! It's actually my uniform.
Helmets are not for show...I studied hard to become a junior firefighter and I have a certificate on our wall to prove it!
I even participated in fire prevention week and became friends with some of my fellow firefighters who let me ride in the big rig (okay, sit in their seats at least!)
Another look at me and my fireman colleagues
I even went to the pumpkin patch just in case there happened to be any fires...
I decorated a ladybug pumpkin..
And wore my hat even though I don't like to show off that much
I salute all the heroes who save lives...
So I will be a firefighter this halloween...CLANG CLANG CLANG!

dada is the flavor these days...
Most days, mommy leaves for work before daddy, so I get to say bye bye to her outside while she swipes her ticket into the subway. On Thursdays, however, daddy leaves for work super early usually before I even wake up. But last Thursday, I decided to wake up early so that I would have a chance to say bye to him. After, he left, I was still looking for him......
